Congratulations to Emma Fishleigh, Adrian Pett and Toryn for an excellent start to the 2022 surfing season in the Black Rock Surf Kayak Competition on April 23rd. Since that amazing start Toryn and Emma have both been selected for the England Surf Kayak Team for the World Championships in Bude from September 29th to October 9th.
An awesome achievement!
At the Black Rock Surf Kayak Competition today in Bude we had some strong performances by BCC members.
Toryn won both the Junior Short and Junior Long Boat classes with some brilliant surfing!
Emma came first in Women’s Short Boat, second in Women’s Long Boat and third in the Open Waveski.
Adrian came fifth in the Masters Long Boat class.
We all took part in the fun handicap competition which was a great chance to practise competition surfing and surf with paddlers of a range of ages and experience.
We definitely recommend going to a surf kayak competition this year for a great way to meet like minded people, improve your surfing and see some of UK’s best surf kayakers in action!
