Fifteen club members will set out this weekend, for a week's paddling,to the attractive town of Entraygues sur Truyere, situated on the confluence of the rivers Lot and Truyere in the Southern Central Massif.
The region is not well known but is very beautiful, with steep wooded valleys, ancient settlements and moderate white water. The local town is Entraygues sur Truyere and you can have a look at it here http://www.tourisme-entraygues.com/fr/loisirs/canoe-kayac-rafting.php
The paddling is moderate and safe, with simple rapids and long pools below. There are some nice play waves and one big bouncy constriction rapid to encourage skills development, so not boring. There are some long remote stretches on this river so some memorable day trips available. There is never a guarantee of good flows but this early in the season, with dam controlled releases, the paddling should be good.
